Why is it important for a BP to document their first 210 hours?
As a Union member you are entitled to the following additional benefits, once you have worked 210 hours for any combination of Local 831 Union Employers within a 12 month period and have taken theTradeshow Basics class.

Once this is verified in writing by the Union the company is obligated by the contract
to pay these benefits to you.
In order to qualify for the above benefits you must:

-Fill out and sign a vacation and holiday account card.
-Complete the Tradeshow Basics course.
-Save all payroll stubs from the date you joined the Union.
-Mail or bring in copies of your payroll stubs to the Union office AS SOON AS YOU REACH 210 HOURS. (Be prompt with your paperwork because we can only collect 7.6% retroactively for 30 days).

We will notify the employer(s) by FAX when the above steps are completed.
The 7.6% Holiday &Vacation monies will be forwarded by the Company to the Building Trades Federal Credit Union to your individual account. This will be available to you twice a year.
(June & December)
For information on other union benefits, (Health Insurance & Pension), please contact
