Our Power Tools class consists of an 8-hour day. A maximum of 15 students and 3 instructors gives us a 5 to 1 ratio, which we strictly adhere to. Approximately 3 1/2 hrs. of classroom instruction on Routers, Circular Saws and Blade Kerfs, Jig Saws, Reciprocating Saws, Hole saws, Drill bits and safety of all tools. The remaining time is spent in groups learning hands-on techniques such as drilling Plexi-glass, routing Plexi-glass, safe use of Hole Saw, causes and avoidance of saw kickbacks. |
